Tinubu’s running mate Shettima, Peter Obi, Atiku attend NBA conference in Lagos

 


Presidential candidates in the 2023 elections on Monday, August 22, 2022, attended the Nigerian Bar Association’s annual general conference in Lagos.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidates running mate, Kashim Shettima, Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi, appeared in person at the conference.

The 2022 NBA AGM is themed “BOLD Transitions” and its General Conference was expected to hold between August 19 to 26, with the opening ceremony happening today.

Also present at the event are Governors Solomon Lalong and Godwin Obaseki of Plateau and Edo State respectively.

The Lagos State Attorney General, Moyosore Onigbanjo is representing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the state, while the Chief Judge of the state, Kazeem Alogba, is also present.

The Keynote Speaker at the event is the award-winning Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie.

Meanwhile, the National Executive Council of the NBA has ratified the suspension of Mrs. Joyce Oduah as the General Secretary of the association.

Her suspension was ratified late Sunday evening at the NEC Meeting which is part of activities of the NBA Annual General Conference holding at the Eko Atlantic City, Lagos.

On August 15, the National Officers of the NBA, had suspended the General Secretary pending the ratification of the NEC.
