DEAR DEIDRE: THOUGH I love my girlfriend, she has an issue with me going out with my mates.
She becomes moody and, if I don’t reply to her constant texts, believes it is because I’m drunk.
One night she packed her bags and left because I missed replying to a couple of her texts.
Another night, when I arrived home an hour later than expected, she made me sleep on the sofa.
I am 28, she is 25. We have been together for six months.
I have a large group of friends, mostly married or in long-term relationships. Every few weeks we get together for a night out, going to a few bars.
She controls every other aspect of our relationship, too, and I fear what life would be like if we married.
Am I being immature?
